What Operate is

Operate is a desk for running a small shop: people, customers, money, quotes, jobs, sales, inventory, orders, deliveries, suppliers, goals, and a public shop page. The desk is $49 a month. You subscribe through Stripe Checkout; the card you save is billed every month until you cancel. We do not send a manual invoice or flip a shop on by hand.

Shop, customer, quote, job, and money records are stored in Postgres. The privacy notice says what that includes.

What is not on yet

Shop deposits through Stripe Connect are queued. They are not part of the $49 subscription, and they are not on. Photo files in Supabase storage are queued. A portfolio picture today is a link you paste. A Facebook or Instagram connection through ChurchConnect is queued. When that connection is on, Operate stores no Meta tokens, only a connection id and a status. We do not pretend those pieces are running today.

Your account

You need to be able to run a business to open a shop. Keep your password and recovery code to yourself; what happens under your sign-in is yours. Tell us through Get help if you think someone else has it.

Your numbers

You are responsible for what you enter. The leftover, the week, the next 30 days — every figure on the desk comes from numbers you typed. We do not promise a profit, a margin, or a result for your shop. Operate is not accounting, tax, or legal advice, and it does not replace your accountant.

What automations do and do not do

Custom workflows are a short, fixed list of desk events and desk actions. They write to your ledger, pull stock, post a notice, remember a buying need, or open a reorder. They do not email your customers, pay your vendors, file your taxes, or run your company.

Tools we point you to

Easy Peazy, Toner, Laser and Group Buy are their own products with their own terms. We point to them; we do not own them, and we do not take money for work they have not delivered. Your suppliers stay your suppliers.

Fair use

Do not use Operate to break the law, to reach into another shop's data, to send spam through a shop page, or to overload the service. We may close a shop that does.

Leaving

You can download everything and delete the shop from your account page at any time. Deleting removes the shop and the login. Data deletion also says how to ask by email if you cannot sign in. If we ever have to stop offering Operate, we will give you notice and time to take your data with you.

The honest limits

Operate is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses from using it, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us for Operate in the past twelve months.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so here and update the date at the top. Keeping your shop after that means you accept the change.
